I am in tears as I write this post to remember my baby boy, Dolce. He was my cat and only 1 year old. He was the most unique cat I have ever known. he was half Bengal and half Manx and had no tail. He was very big and muscular for a cat. He resembled a little lion. He always layed with his front paws stretched in front of him with one paw over the other. Despite his gigantic appearance, he was really just a sweet cat. He had the meow of a small kitten and he loved to cuddle. He was such a one of a kind cat with so much character and no other cat will ever measure up to him. I hate to sound dramatic, but this cat was my life. I didn't see him for a couple days and I began to worry. It wasn't like him to stay out all night. Today I went to go looking for him again and decided to look on the back porch, as I saw my dog sniffing around earlier. We have a patio furniture set with a tarp over it, so it doesn't get ruined from the rain and I thought I should check under there, since he used to hide under there sometimes. I bent down and looked only to find him laying on his side, mouth open. I knew he wasn't alive. I burst into tears, and I have been crying since 12:30 this afternoon when I found him. My grandparents said they saw him on Sunday and he apparently was in a fight with some stupid big black cat that stalks around our house trying to fight our cats. When my dad went to go remove his stiff, lifeless body, we noticed that he had a huge gash on his back ankle and that his eyes were open. Another cat couldn't have done that much damage, so I figure either a raccoon or a coyote got to him last night and that he used whatever life he had left in him to come home. I'm just happy he came home...

shannan click in german vogue february 2010

Here is American model Shannan Click in this February's issue of German Vogue. She has been featured in many versions of international editions of Vogue and was also in the 2008 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Judging by this gorgeous shoot, revealing clothing and nudity are not always necessary to create a sexy shoot. Sultry styling and a great model can be enough to create that. Something I really like is the sunny setting and her gorgeous flowy golden locks. With her tanned skin and blonde hair, she has a very Hollywood-esque look. I'd have to say that the first, third, and sixth photos are my favorites. These photos were shot by German photographers, Claudia Knoepfel & Stefan Indlekofer and styled by Nicola Knels in Miu Miu, Prada, and sleek pieces from the spring. German Vogue is becoming a new favorite of mine and it makes me very proud of my German heritage!

I just thought I'd take the time to share with you some products I am loving right now. My mother sells Avon, and Avon is partnered with Mark. which has great cosmetics and beauty supplies. You may or may not know, but Lauren Conrad (former star of The Hills and author of L.A. Candy) is the face of Mark. My mom started working on the side as an Avon representative about a year or so ago and I instantly fell in love with products by Mark., and this is coming from a girl who normally only uses Dior beauty products! The products are more aimed towards younger women, say ages 16 to about 30. Some of the products even have cute, witty little taglines on them, for example a lip smoother appropriately named "Kiss Dry Goodbye", a multi-task refresher called "Mist Opportunity", "That's Deep" (a purifying gel cleanser), "Matte Chance" (mattifying lotion), "Berry Grand" (super exfoliating beads with cranberry and pomegranate), "See Things Clearly" (brightening moisturizer), "Light Bright" (lighten & de-puff eye gel), and oh I could go on and on. Those previously mentioned are all the beauty products that I have recently acquired for myself and they all work wonderfully! Another new product I'm waiting to try is Mega Volume "Next Day Spray", a must have for the party girl. Say you go out partying one night, wake up at a friend's the next morning and need a quick fix before you head to work? Mark.'s Next Day Spray is great for refreshing your hair between shampooing. It helps to remove buildup and reduce oily appearance to revitalize your style! There are so many other products I have yet to try, but maybe I'll do another blog like this one when I've tried them all!

blast from the past - anja rubik in vogue paris 2005

 

 

 

All I have to say is WOW, I am in love! I love shoots that burst with sexuality and this one is no exception. I am just in love with the old Hollywood glamour vibe. I've known about Anja Rubik for years and this is the first time I've come across this shoot. She is another one of my favorite models. Seen here without her trademark short hair, I think she is workin' the long hair! I prefer that to the short hair, it definitely makes her look remarkably feminine (not that she isn't already the epitome of femininity). The male model, Tyson Ballou isn't half bad either! For all the sensuality, there isn't much nudity. This shoot is from 2005, but only in a few years most fashion pictorials would be filled with nudity. Well, I can definitely promise much, much more of Anja in coming posts.

i like to think life is going goood right now

Alright, so I haven't really been blogging as much as I'd like to and I have SO many great editorials, ad campaigns, and quotes to share with you all. I've been busy with my social life as always. Last Friday I went to a favorite spot of mine, Club Climax. I think I had about 5 or 6 shots of Patron! Patron has to be the best tasting tequila I've ever had - I almost didn't even need a lime! Despite the stupid drama between my friend and her stupid boyfriend, it was a good night. The guy I'm into right now ended up coming there to meet me and we stayed for awhile and than I went home with him. Could this be a new crush? I spent the rest of the weekend just relaxing at home with my dogs. I'm just so excited for 2010 to actually get going. It's actually off to a good start! Oh yeah, and happy MLK Day! One of the most important men in American history!

Here is a Romanian model whom I've never heard of before seeing this beautiful shoot for Unica January 2010. Her name is Cartrinel Menghia and she reminds me so much of burlesque diva, Dita von Teese, especially the way she is dressed for this 1950's style shoot. It's like the perfect housewife with a devious twist! I just love the classic sensuality of the photos.

gucci spring/summer 2010

Alright, so here is the Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign for Gucci. The setting and colour scheme of this shoot reminds me of a hot summer day by the pool in Miami. This wonderfully shot campaign stars Russian model Natasha Poly, and some very hot male model named Ryan Kennedy. I can't say I've ever heard of him before, but after seeing these photos, he is definitely on my radar! He reminds me of a really hot version of Kourtney Kardashians babydaddy, Scott Disick. Not only do I think the models representing Gucci for this campaign are extremely gorgeous, I am loving the items they are modeling. I LOVE the shoes Natasha has on in picture #2, and I love the dress and bag in picture #5. I also find the sunglasses she has on in picture #9 to die for! a little sexual frustration

I'm going to be completely honest here: I am generally good looking and a great catch for any guy who enjoys a woman who knows her way around the bedroom and the kitchen, but why can't I seem to find a boyfriend? There have been many guys I've gotten close with and whom I am very attracted to, but why is it that no one seems to want to start a relationship with me? It's like these guys are thinking that I am good enough to fuck, but not good enough to date. It really bothers me! I suppose my high expectations don't help my dilemma much either though. Or maybe its the fact that I'm somewhat of a diva? The opposite sex just confuses me way too much. Especially the guy with whom I most recently had sexual relations with. For example last weekend I invited him to come over to a little party I was at and he said he was busy - I didn't hear from him for a week and of course I'm not going to be the one to break the silence after he shot me down. Last night I went to bed fairly early and this morning when I woke up I had a text from him saying, "Are you still up?", and this is about a week after he was too busy for me. This text I received from him was from around 2AM. It wasn't him wanting a drunken booty call, that's for sure because he doesn't drink or do drugs. My love life is fucked. I just want to settle down and get a steady boyfriend already!
